The Farce of the Solenoids
The fuckers are the bane of my life.
So the conversion went like this:
Pull solenoid + addition
= push solenoid
Which didn't work. Excellent. SO..
Plastic addition, with a thread made by hand = shit wonky thread.
SO
Lathe to make straight thread
= Straight plastic addition to solenoid
And working 48V solenoid!
Which I now can't power because I bought a power supply (or 3) with the wrong ampage. Well done me. I'm starting to wonder if the drawers are going to be worth making using electronics, I may have to just re-make them using a spring loaded mechanism like the last set. Balls.

Oooops
Yea, so it would seem that I am idiot, as I ordered pull instead of push solenoids. Congrats to me. Congrats.

And now for something completely different...
A selection of the many and varied failings of my prototypes over the last few months.
That's design!
